About the Four-Ball

Injecting a team element into an individualized sport, this event honors the best two-person teams of amateur golfers in the state. Since its inception in 1981, the event has celebrated some of the best amateur teams in the region and embraced the spirit of teamwork. Champions of the past have been brothers, friends and even father and son pairs.

2016 Championship Highlights

Herbie Aikens (Pinehills GC) and Matt Parziale (Thorny Lea GC) proved that they can be both as they carded a two-day score of 9-under par 134 at Framingham Country Club and Hopkinton Country Club to capture the 2016 Massachusetts Four-Ball Championship. Both had won individual MGA Championship titles, but the latest piece of hardware represented the first MGA team title for this duo. With the latest victory, Aikens also became only the third competitor to ever win four MGA Four-Ball titles. Read More
