The MGA Junior Golf Fund was established in 2006 to be the main source of funding for The First Tee of Massachusetts. Donations and sponsorship support to this charitable initiative are 100% tax-deductible.
Since the inception of the MGA Jr. Golf Fund, The First Tee of Massachusetts has expanded its programs and learning opportunities all across the state in an effort to help grow the game of golf.
The First Tee of Massachusetts is now in its second decade of programming. Over that time many success stories – both on and off the golf course – have shown the positive effect our program is having on junior golfers. Having grown from its humble beginnings at MGA Links at Mamantapett (www.mgalinksgolf.com), The First Tee of Massachusetts has established 5 full-time program affiliates that provide learning opportunities for aspiring junior golfers throughout the year – MGA Links (Norton), Fenway Golf Range (East Longmeadow), on the North Shore, Hyannis Golf Course (Hyannis) and Franklin Park Golf Course (Boston).
Children from all demographics participate in various programs that provide a basic introduction to the game of golf and the Life Skills curriculum of The First Tee. Partnerships exist with over 30 youth agencies – Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCA's, Park & Rec. Depts. – in an effort to reach as many children as possible. The First Tee of Massachusetts now serves nearly 2,000 children annually our program locations, and another 30,000+ through The First Tee National School Program and The First Tee DRIVE Program.
As an avid golfer, you know how the unique character and etiquette of the game teach important values including honesty, integrity and sportsmanship that can positively impact the lives of all who play it, especially children. By teaching the Life Skills curriculum, we are confident that our participants are learning these important life lessons and more through The First Tee of Massachusetts.
Please join us in supporting The First Tee of Massachusetts with your tax deductible contribution today. Your gift will not only help strengthen the future of golf in Massachusetts, but more importantly you will be helping thousands of kids learn the important lessons that the game of golf can teach us all.
