Player Services: 2017 MGA Member Days

Ever wonder what this Member Day Program is all about?

Below is a list of frequently asked questions about the program. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to contact Drew Rosen at drosen@mgalinks.org.

Who is eligible to participate in MGA Member Day events?

Any person that carries an active GHIN number at any MGA Member club is eligible to play in any MGA Member day.  There are no handicap requirements.

What is the maximum number of sites I can enter the lottery for?

There is no limit to the number of events you can enter your name for the lottery drawing.  If there are multiple sites that appeal to you, you are free to enter and request up to 4 spots for each event.

How many times can I enter the lottery?

Each player is only allowed to enter the lottery for each event one time. The number of events you enter and the number of events you are selected as a winner are completely random.

If I win the lottery and can no longer make it, can I transfer my spots to a friend?

No, if you are selected as a Member Day lottery winner you are the only one who can register and complete payment for the event.

What if I was the one to register for a Member Day and I can no longer make it? Do I sacrifice all of my requested spots?

No, if your name was the one what was selected and you can no longer make to the event, you are permitted to substitute another player for your spot and your group will remain entered and eligible for the event.

What if you and another person you plan to play with are both are selected as lottery winners?

In the event that you and someone that you plan on playing with are selected as lottery winners, the first person to log-in and complete payment using your GHIN number will solidify your spot in the field.

What happens if I am not selected as a lottery winner?

If your name is not drawn as a lottery winner you will automatically be added to the waiting list in the order the lottery was drawn.  If spots become available in the field at a later date, you will be notified via email ASAP.

What happens if I fail to register and complete payment within 48 hours of being notified that I was a lottery winner?

If you do not log-in to your MyMGA portal to register and complete payment within 48 hours of being selected as a winner, you will lose your spot(s) in the field and be placed at the bottom of the waiting list.

When and how do I get my tee times?

Approximately one week after the lottery close date, tee times and host facility details will be emailed to you directly.

If my group can no longer make it to the Member Day we have registered for what is the withdrawal and refund policy?

If you or your group cannot make to a Member Day that you had already registered for, there is a $10.00 per player withdrawal fee if you notify Drew Rosen at least 7 day in advance.  If you notify Drew Rosen with less than 7 days prior to the event day, there is a $40.00 per player withdrawal fee.  If you or anyone in your group fails to contact Drew Rosen prior to the start of the event, you will not receive a refund.
